[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]For nearly a decade Global Wellness Day has been reminding people around the world the value of taking care of their physical and mental health. Never before has its message been more meaningful than now during a global pandemic — when people of all races, religions and cultures are actively seeking ways to stay well and positive. This year, Global Wellness Day will take advantage of cutting-edge technology to mount a 24-hour livestream celebration from sunrise to sunset around the globe. On Saturday, June 13th 2020 the ninth annual Global Wellness Day (GWD) celebration — with the motto; “One day, can change your whole life!” — will focus on mental health, stress, immunity, nutrition, indoor exercises, love and compassion.

Global Wellness Day has grown from being celebrated in one country in 2012 to last year when it was celebrated in 150 countries in over 7,000 locations from Cyprus to China. New to the roster of countries this year are Hong Kong, New Zealand, Zambia, Taiwan, Ukraine and Nigeria.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”13px”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”4207″ img_size=”full” css_animation=”fadeIn”][vc_column_text]Founded in 2012 by Belgin Aksoy, Global Wellness Day is an entirely not-for-profit day which is an international social project dedicated to living well. The fundamental purpose of the day is to make us aware of the value of our lives. Even if it’s for one day of the year, to make us stop and think, to get away from the stress of city living and our bad habits, and thereby find peace within ourselves.
Global Wellness Day focuses on cultivating wellbeing within oneself as well as spreading the positive vibes within our communities. With the slogan “One day can change your whole life”, the event’s aim is
• To recognize the value of our lives
• To pause and think, even if for just one day of the year
• To be free from the stress of everyday city life and bad habits
• To make peace with ourselves
• To raise awareness about living well and increase motivation, not just for today, but for the remaining 364 days of the year

Global Wellness Day is celebrated on the second Saturday of every June in more than 8500 locations around the world only with complimentary activities.
